I got so busy here at the end of the semester that I didn’t even have a chance to introduce this project, but I’m so excited to share the results of the kitchen transformation at my dad’s house! I am so thrilled with the result of this makeover and can’t wait to share all the details. First of all, as with all of the rooms at Tye Street Project, I knew this space had to stand out. While it already had an orange sink as a statement piece (definitely a little tricky to work around), I wanted to bring some handsome drama to the space and also finish off the room with texture and new finishes that would make an impact.
Then of course, there are the shiny new KitchenAid appliances from Home Depot which were integral to making the kitchen feel and look new and functional again! We were literally sparking the old cooktop manually with a lighter so having a brand new range and dishwasher couldn’t be appreciated more. My dad is a huge cook, so he’s already broken in all the appliances with some elaborate dinners! Find the whole reveal below.
