After getting my new sectional I was eager to fill in my new apartment living room with the finishing touches that would round out the sitting area and make this section of the room feel complete and inviting! Since it’s the first room you walk into, I really wanted the room to be a reflection of my style, so I was excited to mix in modern accents from AllModern to really set off the vintage Turkish rug that grounds the living space. I love the gold detail on the end of the chair legs, and the speckles on the pillow that tie it into the design! The hide provides a textured contrast to the smooth velvet in an unexpected stitched pattern.
Just by adding another piece opposite my sectional, I was able to define the seating area and make it a separate space beside the kitchen. It feels complete now with the addition of the barrel chair and the cream ottomans that span the length of my sofa, providing versatile coffee table space or extra seating if needed!
Finishing touches truly make a difference and adding my favorite coffee table books to the top of the ottomans added personality to the space and a hard surface to the ottomans for placing a drink down. Books are always my go-to for making a room feel authentic and lived-in…
